Challenges:

It is a known problem that direct sunlight makes it difficult to create an image rich in color and contrast on an outdoor screen. To compensate, the brightness is turned up, which not only results in higher power consumption, but also reduces the lifespan of the diodes and thus the screen. The ViewNet ECO SuperBlack system also reduces the sun's UV radiation from wearing down the LEDs.

Green solution that saves money:

With ViewNet ECO SuperBlack LED and adaptive PixelClear, a much higher contrast is achieved in sunlight, so that the images appear clearer and more colour-saturated. The brightness can be lowered with lower power consumption as a result, and the reduced exposure to UV rays extends the lifetime of the diodes. The power saving alone corresponds to approx. 42% of the screen price at 90 øre/KWH.
